3 John Freida shampoos, (full price $6.67 each)
2 JF conditioners, and
3 Gillette shampoos. (full price approx $3.50 each)
How did I do that? Mainly, I used coupons on clearance items. I happened to find a new clearance section in the Walgreens on Eagle's Landing and I noticed the Gillette and Root Awakenings items there. In the back of my mind, I remembered that I had seen coupons for both of those things. I went back to work, and sure enough...I had coupons. Score! But what's even better is that when I got to the store, I found out that not only were all JF products Buy One, get one 50% off, but if you buy 2 JF products, you get back $3 in Register Rewards. So, I really really hit the jackpot and didn't even mean to. I love it when that happens! Here's the breakdown:
5 x JF Shampoo/conditioner $3.39 = $16.95
50% off 2= -3.39
$5/2 coupon
$2/1 coupon
$1/1 peelie
$3/2 Wags coupon
$1 Register Rewards I had from previous purchase
Total Out of Pocket = $1.56
(This was split up into to transactions and I still have one more $3/2 Wags coupon to use on my next Root Awakenings purchase from the second transaction)
3 x Gillette Shampoo $1.59 = $4.77
used 3, $1/1 coupon
Total Out of Pocket = $1.77
Total Purchase price = $3.33(plus tax)
The JF shampoo/conditioners full price were $6.67 each and the Gillette were around $3.50(sorry, can't remember exact price). So, the value of the products were: $44.05!
The best part was I didn't know about the peelie on one of the bottles or the 50% off the second item or the $3 coupon that would print out after you buy 2! I was just gonna use my coupons on clearance items and be happy with that. But, I got what I call one of my awesome "coupon blessings" today :)
