Swagbucks
I have recently started swagging! What is swagging? Well, it's using Swagbucks as your search engine to get free stuff. It only took me a few weeks of doing regular searches to earn enough to get a free $5 Amazon.com giftcard. I wanted to see how long it took me to build that up before I posted it here. It's really easy to set up. And I say if you're gonna search the internet, you might as well get "paid" to do it, right? Check it out....

$1 Mr. Potato Head at Target

Target has the Mr. Potato Head Santa Spud for $5.99. Print the coupon for $5 off Spud Buds here. Makes it .99+tax each. He is $18.99 on Amazon.com!! I was expecting a small spud, but he's even a full size tater head. So, I got 4 of these guys(thanks for picking them up for me Narda) One will go to Toys for Tots, another will go in our Mexico Angel Bag, one as a gift for a baby and one for Waylon. Yay for cheap toy deals!
~All thanks to God~
Today's deals
CVS:
Contact solution 8.99
M&Ms x2 bags BOGO (total 3.00 for both bags) (guy gift)
Revlon nail clippers x2 2.99 BOGO with $1.00 coupon x2 (Lapinski girls stocking stuffers)
Without coupons and BOGO sales, the total would have been $17.98.
After coupons and $10 Extra Care Bucks total was(with tax) $2.91 which I put on a free gift card I got from them over the summer when I filled a new RX. Then got back $8.99 in ECB to spend on the next shopping trip!
I then proceeded to Publix to get:
Dole pineapple x 4 cans 1.57 BOGO(.78each) with .50 coupon x4 print here (each doubles to $1)
DelMonte vegetables x8 cans 1.30 BOGO(.65each) with 1.00 off 8 cans (found in paper)
Total without BOGO and coupons would have been $16.68.
After coupons and BOGO total with tax was $4&change (sorry, too lazy to get receipt out of truck right now! ha ha)
So, that is...
8 cans of veggies
4 cans of pineapple
1 bottle contact lens solution
2 bags of holiday M&Ms
2 Revlon nail clippers
Total out of pocket: $4&change and still have $8.99 in Extra Care Bucks to spend at CVS! Not bad for $34.66 worth of stuff!
Does anyone else have any really good deals you have gotten recently that you want to share?

CVS
Here is the link to this week's CVS deals. I'm really posting it here for selfish reasons, so I can refer back to it easily myself! But also, to share some ideas with you. This is how I do good at CVS, I use the "deal scenarios" in blogs like the one linked here. It helps me be able to plan out a strategy. If I tried to come up with these deal scenarios myself, my head would probably explode! I have $10 in Extra Care Bucks that expire on Thursday...ONE DAY before the big Black Friday deals! So, I will just go buy the contact lens solution for $8.99 and get back $8.99 ECB that I can use on Black Friday. I'll lose a dollar, but it's better than losing the whole $10!
Do you have any super deals you are planning on scooping up on Black Friday?

Any deals you'd like to share?
Sorry I haven't blogged much this week! Just haven't seen tons of deals to blog about. I don't even think I need anything from the Publix sale this week. It's funny how some weeks I will get my list ready and go to the sale(usually Publix) and stock up. Then, I got such great deals, I search for more coupons and go back again to do it all over again. And again until I am all out of coupons! Then, the next week, there's nothing in the sale that jumps out at me. This is one of those weeks for me. No deals I can't live without. Stockpiles are stocked. So, not much to report to you guys. Oh, wait....there is a sale on Windex cleaners for .25 a bottle at Publix. I might go on Monday and get a couple bottles of that. Other than that, it's just a quiet week on the coupon homefront.
So, since I'm not listing any deals...if you have any fantastic deals you'd like to share, please feel free to post them!

Photo FREEBIES for you!
Money Saving mom posted a great blog about how to get a free photo ornament with free shipping! I'll be ordering mine this afternoon. Here's a link to her blog:
Free photo ornament
Have you ordered your 50 free photo cards from Fujifilm yet? Narda got hers the other day and they look great!
Also, go to Kodak Gallery to get a free code worth $15. I have done this twice already(one with my email and one with Ricky's email) and gotten 2 really great photo mugs for Christmas gifts. I had to pay $5.99 shipping. But I've heard that from here on, the shipping might be free? You have until the 18th for this offer, so hurry!
Enjoy your freebies!

Coupon database
Are you looking for a certain coupon and don't know which newspaper it came from? Or just can't figure out where in the world you know you saw that coupon for something but can't figure out where you saw it? Well, here is a like to a coupon database that will tell you exactly where to find the current coupons for any item you want! Just enter the product in and it will tell you where the coupons are.
For the newbies out there, here is a list of all the coupon abbreviations. The 3 most important ones you'll need to know are IP, SS and RP. They stand for Internet Printable, Smart Source and Red Plum. Red Plum and Smart Source are the two coupon inserts you will find in the newspaper each week. So, if you see that a coupon is in the 10/18 RP, you know that you can go to your October 18th Red Plum insert and you'll find that coupon. I don't usually clip my coupons until I am ready to use them. I keep the inserts together with the date written on the front of each insert. That's just how I am doing it so far. Do whatever works best for you.
Be sure to look around on Hot Coupon World while you are there for the database and abbreviations. It's a GREAT and very resourceful website for all things coupon. Lots and lots of information, tricks and tips for any couponer.
On a side note: One of these days, I'll figure out how to post cute little pictures that you can click on to take you to links. But for now, I'm not that blog savvy. So just click on the plain boring links and be patient with me for now. I'm learning how to coupon and blog!

Free potatoes and cheap creamer
Ok, this isn't going to be a comprehensive blog. Just a quick look at my deal from yesterday.

6 boxes of Betty Crocker potatoes.
(let's see if I can add the links so you can print the coupons...)
Smartsource coupon Betty Crocker coupon Coupons.com
These are BOGO at Publix and come out to be .80. Each coupon is for .40 and will double to .80 making the potatoes FREE! You should be able to print 2 coupons per computer from each link I have above. This is how I got 6 boxes of free potatoes!
5 bottles Coffeemate creamer(which I will attempt to freeze)
.10 a bottle after coupons and BOGO
2 pkgs Keebler cookies
1.25 after coupon and BOGO
1 pouch Bumble Bee Tuna
free after coupon (I need more tuna coupons!)
Order total after coupons: $2.89
I am going back today for more potatoes and creamer(since I printed/found more coupons last night) and some .45 cookie dough. Oh, and those are Ricky's FAVORITE cookies(and happen to be ones that I am not tempted to eat), so I will probably get 2 more packs of them to stockpile.
Happy Savings!

$0.39
Total so far = $5.45
-$4 Rite Aid competitor coupon
Brings total down to $1.45!!
Here's the receipt:

Yes, I do love my Publix. They take competitor coupons. And the only reason I bought the Zantac was to get my order total(before coupons) up to $20 so that I could use my Rite Aid $4 off $20 coupon. Pretty strategic, huh?! The best part was when the clerk told me it would be $33.25 before I handed her my coupons. But as you can see, I ended up only having to pay out of pocket $3.06! I hope this has inspired you to get out there and find some deals. My next blog will be compiling all the websites and blogs that I use to find the deals and print my coupons from. I do buy 2 newspapers every week(from a kid on the corner for $1!). But honestly, most of my coupons are printed from the internet.
Ok, that's all for now.

CVS coupon

Ok, I am going to try and post a link to a printable coupon. Let's see if this works! Please comment and let me know if you were able to print this $5 off $20 CVS coupon...
CVS 5 off.
(you have to roll over each "sticky" to peel it off and then print the coupon)
Welcome to my obsession
I confess. I am addicted to saving money. And if I am being completely honest here, I must also confess that I used to be addicted to throwing it away. Trust me, I have the mountain of debt to prove it. We started paying this debt off 3 (hard) years ago and have one more year to go. But thanks to a few contributing factors, that mountain is chipping away piece by piece. The first factor is of course, my loving and generous God. He always gets all the credit for all things good in my life. And he has certainly carried me through the last 3 years. Some days, I just don't know how we are even doing this. He has got to be the reason we are making it. Secondly, it's just plain making up my mind and sticking to it. I do not have to live in debt forever. And if I put my mind to it, I can get over this giant mountain. It's all about making the distinction between wants vs. needs. Do I really need those new boots or jeans or curtains(oh how I would love new curtains!)? No, don't need them, I just want them. I really can get by on what I have even if it's not trendy or stylish. Yes, I am tired of dressing like a hobo. And I sure would love to have pretty new things decorating my house. And vacations....oh how I dream about taking vacations again... I haven't been on a real vacation with a hotel in 3 years now....sigh. But those are just wants. They are not needs. So, for now, I will make due with what I have so that later on, I can have even better things that are fully paid for and not charged. I tell myself on a daily basis that this is only a temporary situation. Thirdly and last, but not least, I have recently discovered the wonderful world of "super couponing." This is the fun part! I get to shop shop shop, but I don't have to spend spend spend! Granted it's mostly groceries, yes. But when you have been in a shopping drought like I have for 3 years now, even grocery shopping is exciting to me. It's sort of like a game. It's even become somewhat of a hobby for me. It's the thrill of seeing just how many items I can get for the least amount of money. Take for instance my halloween candy scenario. I got 12 pounds of Wonka candy for 5 cents(before tax). Don't believe me?
See the Order Total? 0.05!!!
And here's what I got for that...
Now can you see why this is such a thrill to me? This will be what this blog is all about. I want a way to be able to sort of keep track and be able to look back at all the coupon blessings I've received. I would also like to share these blessings with you! Yes, it does take some extra time and effort to plan out these deals and strategize. But for me, it is very worth my extra effort. Besides, at this point, I'm just having too much fun with it to stop now!
I am a busy, working mom, and blogging has sort of fallen by the wayside for me since becoming a mother. But I promise to do my very best to keep up with this blog and share all my deals and steals with you, as often as possible. I've even got the next 2 blogs already rolling around in my head. I just have to find the time to sit and write them out. One will be a list of all the websites I frequent and how I find all these deals. The other will be a blog about the great deal I got yesterday on medicine and what stockpiling is all about.
I hope I can keep this blog up to date and I really hope you enjoy reading it.
Until the next blog....Happy Savings!
